Firstly, everyone must buy Silent Alarm by Bloc Party because it is absolutely fucking incredible and So Here We Are is the most gorgeously, wondrously beautiful song I have heard in ages. Plus, three of the members wear glasses, which is always good. Buy it!!! http://www.blocparty.com
Dear, do I get too excited about music? Like when I saw a new Dizzee Rascal video and started bouncing and going, "HEEEE!". Or when I heard Jimmy Eat World were doing a new album and I did wordless fish mouth gaping? Oh well.
Secondly, I hit 100,000 words on my fic! YAY!
In celebration of this, I am going to post some of it. I am so horribly nervous. This is my baby. It's still not finished and it might be a long time before I post the next part but I've been writing it for absolutely ages and I really want to post some. Be honest about it!
Okay. So, Harry and Draco are 29. It's set in 2004, though, so I've taken some liberties with canon dates. Who doesn't?
Basically, with this story, I just wanted it to be a normal relationship building between the two. I wanted them to argue and I wanted them to be nervous and I wanted them to have times where nothing seemed like it would ever go wrong. And I wanted stuff to go wrong.
Please be aware, however, in terms of character development, things are discovered as we wobble along. So, keep that in mind before passing judgement. Even so, it's still OOC, I think. But do you all mind that much, hmmm, really? Especially seeing as it's set over ten years after Hogwarts and they may just have grown up.
I really, really hope
you find something to like in this. darkasphodel
